Our project is to create an opening sequence to a thriller movie, in which Kiah Wauchope, Vanessa Silva and Zaiba Hakim blog frequently discussing various different aspects to their thriller throughout the project.
Firstly, I liked the Chinese/Japanese writing at the start creates I kind of japanese horror type of atmosphere. However i do feel like it went a bit to quickly. Another thing I would improve on is the walk to the door at the start. Either make it shorter or completely take it out. Personally I'd take it out and have her at the door to begin with. What would also be good is if you perhaps unlock the door then freeze screen and push the door and do that vanishing thing to make it seem like a ghost had opened the door. Futhermore, add a creeky kinda noise to add a feeling of tension/suspense maybe? Secondly another suggestion would be, if you had the see-saw rocking back and forth while she's "invisible". More over, I'd have some sort of scary background music because it seemed quite akward between the two girls rather then scary. And finally, when the girl dissapears from the swing it's kinda unclear so i'd have a close up off the swing and a back ground demonic childs laugh in the to end it. Sincerely a PVA student.
